What We Do Not Archive

Loose Category: Collector Archive Services will not accept restored items that may have permanent additions to an item, including after-market paint used to cover paint loss to action figures or their weapons or accessories. Glued limbs, weapons and accessories that have been separated or broken over time. Reproduction weapons or accessories. Mismatched or incorrect figure, weapon and accessory combinations. Non-complete items.

Carded Category: Collector Archive Services will not accept restored items that used permanent ink to cover creases, chips, sticker tears, etc. or glue used to reseal blisters, restore proof of purchases, etc. Or items with blister holes or cracks large enough to allow a figure, weapons, or accessories to be removed.

Boxed Category: Collector Archive Services will not accept any restored items that use permanent ink to cover creases, chips, tears, etc. or re-sealed factory tape that may have dried out over time and become brittle and loose.

Qualified Category: Any open box must arrive in factory-unused condition. Any item that arrives incomplete, assembled or partially assembled, stickers removed from sticker sheet, documentation missing, poly-bags ripped open, inserts or Styrofoam missing, etc. will be disqualified and be considered for the “loose category.”

Uncirculated Category: The package must be factory sealed. If any item arrives opened, re-sealed, double-taped where the first layer of tape is cut beneath the second layer, or in any way the factory seal looks tampered with will constitute an uncirculated designation refusal and will be considered for the “qualified category.” CAS WILL NOT OPEN AND/OR DESIGNATE AS “UNCIRCULATED” CARDED ACTION FIGURES OR DIE CAST VEHICLES, OR ANY OTHER SIMILAR COLLECTIBLE ON A CARD WITH A PLASTIC BUBBLE; BOXED STORE-SHELF ITEMS; OR FACTORY SEALED BAGGIE FIGURES.

* Since there are many evolving ways to restore an item in the collectible marketplace today, Collector Archive Services reserves the right to determine what constitutes restoration and may refuse an item for any reason.
